The Founder
Alex Bautista started GiGi Homes & Construction in July 2015. Not because Northern Virginia needed another contractor — it didn't — but because he kept watching people he cared about get treated badly by them.
He had seen the pattern up close: the estimate that moves, the schedule that slips, the crew that stops answering the phone, the work that looks fine until year two. It happens often enough that most homeowners now start a remodel braced for it.
So he built the firm around removing the reasons to worry. Design and build under one roof, so nothing gets lost between the person who drew it and the people who build it. A price fixed before demolition. A project manager who is yours for the duration.
As Alex puts it: you deserve a client experience that is as high-quality as the home upgrade you are planning.
Ten years on, that is still the whole playbook.
The main reason I started my own company is because I've seen contractors unfairly treat people close to me. I decided to be a force for positive change and show people that trustworthy contractors are still in the marketplace.
The Standard

Alex leads or attends the first conversation himself. Before anyone talks price, someone who will actually be on your job walks the space and listens to what you are trying to build.

A fixed-price proposal before demolition begins. Change orders priced and signed before the work proceeds. The number at the walkthrough is the number at handover.

One dedicated project manager per job. A walkthrough with you every week. The site swept at the end of every day, and a schedule that is actually kept.
The Team
A remodel means people in your home for weeks or months. That only works if you know who they are and they know the standard.
One project manager owns your job from first sketch to final walkthrough — the same person, every week, walking the site with you. Every person working on your home carries general liability coverage and worker's compensation, and the certificates are yours before you sign anything.
At the end of each day the site gets swept. It is a small thing. It is also the clearest signal you will get about how the rest of the job is being run.
